Game fishing Clinic - 20th and 23rd February 2012

Always wanted to have an amesome day gamefishing, catch a Marlin, and be able to come home and brag to your mates? Or share this amazing experience with your family? Wells here’s your golden opportunity!
For a very limited number of lucky guests, SBM is holding two x 2 day Game Fishing Clinics, in beautiful Port Stephens during February next year.

The first clinic will be held on Monday 20th to Tuesday 21st February 2012, and the second clinic will run from Thursday 23rd to Friday 24th.

This event will be run by leading Skipper Mr Bob Jones, and the clinic will cover all aspects of Game fishing including:

  • How to set up you boat most effectively to increase your chances of catching the big one
  • Equipment required from rods and reels right down to tag poles and terminal tackle
  • How to rig a lure or bait correctly so it presents well
  • Wharf based lessons on how to use a game rod effectively when fighting either stand up or in a chair
  • Discuss the various trolling patterns and live bait options
  • Lessons on how to find marlin, from spotting bait and using your sounders effectively
  • Lessons on how to chase a marlin from a drivers perspective, so for those of you who are more keen to get behind the wheel and learn all the driving related tricks of the trade, this is available as well
  • Then the best part of all...go fishing and hook that ever ellusive Stripe, Blue or Black Marlin in one of the most beautiful parts of the NSW Coast.

As noted above, the event will run over two days. Subject to weather, we may not return to Port Stephens at the end of the day one, and in instead moor at one of the many majestic bays around Broughton Island. We will sit back enjoy some well deserved refreshments, fresh fish and share good company and no doubt a few fishy tales.

EACH CLINIC IS LIMITED TO ONLY SIX (6) GUESTS.

The charge for this exclusive event will be approximately $750 – all inclusive.

All Marlin caught will be tagged and released, so bring your camera.
