SBM PA Barbara Batton

Barbara Batton, who is Steve’s Mum, has been associated with the Boat business for many years, starting back in the 70’s at a Marina in Newport, formally known as John Kumms Marina.

Around that time our Family and friends, bought a Ted Hood American design, 38’ Cruising Yacht, which we sailed from RPAYC at Newport, even, participating in the Sydney to Coffs races.

I’ve have experienced a lifetime of boating and fishing extending from Phillip Island in Victoria, to the magnificent waterways of the Great Barrier Reef. Having been transferred to Sydney when Steve was a baby, my fishing and boating continued around Scotland Island, and this was the wonderful training ground for Steve with his tinny, dog and mates!!

Now the fun continues, working for Steve and his very friendly team representing the Maritimo Range of Luxury Cruisers.

Every day is a new exciting challenge, and I love meeting all the wonderful SBM customers and guys from the Maritimo Factory. Best of all, to see Steve living his dream with so much passion and drive along with the friendly, supportive and motivated team of David, Ryan, Brent and Andrew…what more could a mum want...
